Hunt v. Carey Canada Inc.: The first
asbestos related product liability action in British Columbia. Included
a number of issues litigated through to the BC Court of Appeal and
most notably the scope of confidentiality relating to production of
documents at the discovery stage. Bushell v. Atlas and Bell Asbestos: Litigated issues of jurisdiction against foreign manufacturers through to the British Columbia Court of Appeal and the issue of the scope of the Quebec Business Concerns Records Act through to the Supreme Court of Canada. G.W.L. Properties Ltd. v. W.R. Grace et al: Litigated claim relating to cost of abatement of asbestos in the Bentall Towers in Vancouver, British Columbia, including over sixty five days of interlocutory motions. Coronation Insurance Co. v. Taku Air Transport Ltd. [1991] 3 S.C.R 622: Action relating to aviation insurance coverage litigated to the Supreme Court of Canada. Action in the Federal Court relating to the scope of Air Transport Regulations.
